Dr. Steven J. O'Donnell

Dr. O'Donnell was elected to his first term on the Meriden Board of Education in November of 2009 and was elected Board Vice President in December of 2015. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Education's Contracts Committee and is a member of the Finance and Policy Committees. He also serves as the Board's representative to the City Council of Meriden.

Dr. O'Donnell would like to ensure that all students have the same opportunity to succeed in the educational process by providing the proper instruction and support. Dr. O'Donnell would like to see the facilitation of these goals being provided by parents, teachers, administration and the community as a whole.

Dr. O'Donnell has practiced in the Meriden area for 20 years and is an active member in the community. Currently he is a member of the Meriden Rotary Club; a Board Member of The Girls, Inc.; and a member of the South Meriden Baseball Board of Directors. Dr. O'Donnell has been a basketball coach at St. Joseph School and baseball coach for the South Meriden Baseball League. Formerly, Dr. O'Donnell served on the East Haven Board of Education.
