Meriden Public Schools

A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for believing in our school system and sending your children to the Meriden Public Schools. I am proud of our students and honored to be your Superintendent of Schools. As a lifelong Meriden resident, a product of the Meriden Public Schools, and a parent of two Meriden Public School students, I care deeply about our students, staff, and school system. The Meriden Public Schools provided me with an outstanding education that prepared me to be successful in college and life. As your educational leader, I am committed to making sure that all of our students complete rigorous coursework in safe, supportive learning environments, and that we support their academic and social/emotional development.

The Meriden Public Schools is very proud of its successes. We offer full-day kindergarten for all our students and two expanded learning time elementary schools. We also allow our students to utilize their own devices, as well as provide mobile devices to them in our one-to-one learning environments. Our school system has received statewide and national recognition for its student-centered approaches, academic gains, and creative programs to meet the needs of all students.

We are committed to working with students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, Board of Education members, City officials, service providers, and all community members who can help our students succeed. To realize our goals, we encourage parents to be active partners in their child’s education. Together, we can provide an education that successfully meets the needs and desires of all students. Together, we can assure that Here, Students Succeed.

I look forward to working with you and your children. Again, I am proud to be your Superintendent of Schools, and I am excited to make the Meriden Public Schools a model of public education success. I am inspired by our students and confident that they will continue to impress us with their performance in the classroom, on the athletic field, in our theaters, and in their volunteerism in the community.

I wish you and your family a most successful and enjoyable school year.

All the best!

Sincerely,
